Patients Pick From The Map, Not Page Two
When someone needs a dermatologist, a podiatrist, or a med spa, they search "near me" and choose from the three practices in the map. A growing number skip the results entirely and ask ChatGPT or Google's AI for a recommendation.
If your practice isn't in those answers, you don't exist to that patient. It doesn't matter how good your care is or how nice your website looks.
Most practices lose here for boring reasons. A half-finished Google Business Profile. The wrong primary category. An old address still listed on a dozen directories. Reviews nobody answers. A website that never tells Google or AI tools, in plain terms, who you treat and where.
Every one of those is fixable. Local search rewards the practice that gets the fundamentals right and keeps them right.
